(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)鈥擳he Art Gallery at Delaware County Community College presents the annual AFA Foundations Exhibition,聽featuring the work of students taking聽Foundations聽Art courses, from Sept. 10 to Oct. 9. The Gallery, located in Room 2305 in the Academic Building is on the College鈥檚 Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063).聽

There will be an Opening Reception on Thursday, September 10 at 11 a.m. in the Gallery. The event is free to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. 聽

While many of the student artists are enrolled in 麻豆直播鈥檚 Art + Design聽Foundations聽Certificate program聽or the Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) programs in 础谤迟鈥揝迟耻诲颈辞 or Graphic Design, the exhibit is unique in that not all students featured are Art majors, since many Art first-year聽courses at 麻豆直播 can be taken without Art prerequisites.

The Art Gallery at 麻豆直播 is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be additional extended hours for Delco Arts Week; please check dccc.edu/gallery for details.

The work included in the exhibition is chosen by the program’s current full-time Art faculty. An independent juror chooses the exceptional pieces from the work in the exhibition to receive Purchase and Honorable Mention awards.聽The awards are funded by the College鈥檚 Educational Foundation and the Campus Life and Athletics Office.
